William Bradford Dear Journal, The first winter has arrived. We are running low on supplies and moral. I find myself thinking we should have gone back, but we are here now and could not return to England until the winter is over. Unless we find food and water I fear no one will make it through the winter. Even if we do find supplies we are still poorly equipped; we have no proper shelter and several of my brothers have frozen to death in their sleep. Maybe God has forsaken us, maybe God let us survive the ocean to come here to freeze. No, if we are to lose faith then we have lost everything. I have faith God will let us survive.
Anne Bradstreet Dear Journal, Upon looking at the world today I notice how far society has strayed from spiritualism to secularism. The arm of flesh didst make thy trust? No, society today needs to return to a spiritual base in order to find strength. If it wasn't for my faith I don't think I could've continued after my house burned down or when my daughter died; America needs faith to get through these troubling times.
Ian... Good blog... :/
